"Cette publication fait suite au colloque international organise par l'Universite de Fribourg, Suisse (10-11 septembre 2015). Abordant la relation specifique entre les Egyptiens et le monde des Arthropodes, objet de peur et de veneration, les etudes reunies ciblent des especes liees a des divinites (Isis de Coptos, Isis-Selkis, etc.) capables de dejouer leurs nuisances venimeuses ou de guerir de leurs effets (scorpions, mille-pattes), des especes vehiculant des maladies parasitaires comme le paludisme ou la leishmaniose (moustiques et phlebotomes), des especes aux caracteristiques anatomiques et ethologiques remarquables employees d'un point de vue conceptuel (scorpion, scarabee et Lanelater de Neith). Une partie de cette approche est consacree aux necrophages, ainsi qu'a l'utilisation medico-magique des Arthropodes dans le corpus medical de l'Egypte classique et la pharmacopee de l'Egypte greco-romaine.
